This 2022 RAM 1500 experienced serious functionality issues while operating the vehicle. The vehicle would shut down at high speeds on the freeway and the engine would crank when a restart was attempted but would not start back up. After analysis, metal was found in the high-pressure fuel pump due to a failure of the component.

After an initial diagnosis, the fuel system pump, injectors, tubes and injector rails were all removed and replaced. After these replacements did not remedy the issues, it was recommended that the vehicle undergo a full replacement of the fuel system.
