This 2019 KIA OPTIMA developed multiple electrical, engine and transmission defects. The transmission would stutter and jerk multiple times while coming to a stop or accelerating slowly from a full stop. Additionally, the engine would misfire, causing the check engine light to come on and the vehicle to shake and shudder at higher speeds. The humidity sensor also shorted out, causing the AC system to turn on unexpectedly by itself and the sun roof would get stuck consistently.

These defects resulted in multiple visits to the dealership for repairs and replacements. The clutch and bearings needed to be replaced in an attempt to fix the transmission malfunctions. The humidity sensor also needed to be replaced along with the sun roof switch.
